The Dance Instructor certificate prepares dancers to teach in private studios, recreational facilities, or community dance programs. Most candidates for this certificate already have experience in a specific dance genre and need to gain a broader understanding and experience in the overall field of dance education.

- Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to create and teach a sample class, demonstrating correct instruction in body alignment, musicality, breathing, and muscular control in a selected dance technique.
